Meet Trudi

Hi Folks,

I was born and raised in Anchorage Alaska with 3 brothers and 1 sister. We were a bunch of Air Force brats and enjoyed the beautiful place we lived so much! We were so lucky to be able to climb all over the Mendenhall glacier, play in the endless woods, ice skate within walking distance and walk to school with the moose. I had no idea until I started moving to others areas of the states that it wasn't exactly normal to go to bed in the daylight. But boy what a fun place to grow up. I ended up in California and eventually the Sierra Foothills back to my beloved large pines and fresh air. My community is a small one but everything a person really needs is right here, mostly peace of mind. I tried marriage a few times but find my self to be too difficult to live with, just a bit too weird, I guess but it works for my art! I have three great kids, my oldest now 21 graduated college on my birthday and commissioned into the Air Force just a couple of weeks later. He is now a 2nd Lieutenant  stationed in Florida starting his Pilot training, something he wanted to do since he was just a little one. My other kids, 16 and 13 both in high school seem happy and healthy even if they are being raised by a goofy Mom! So anyway, at some point I really started concentrating on my painting partly because I finally had time but more importantly a lot of encouragement from Stuart Hess a very fine friend of mine.

What I do paint has evolved somewhat from marking pens with a fine point to using acrylics with a size 0 paintbrush which is very, very small. The detail to me is what is important. I love color and I use as much as possible in every painting especially black, my favorite. I consider my tastes eclectic and basically paint what ever pops in my head, wow that's scary! So I come up with some weird things and thoughts. I did not realize until one of my kids got a pair of 3-D glasses off a macaroni and cheese box that my paintings were actually something else all together. When looked at through 3-D glasses they are truly fascinating! You'll just have to see for yourself!

I am constantly perfecting my art and have without realizing it created several collections. I will continue to paint and now I am sharing them with you and I appreciate your interest very much. Each painting takes me hours and hours and hours to complete because I do use such a small paintbrush but I so enjoy the finish product, I hope you will too.

Thanks,

Trudi
